Description

Used as an aid in installing ribbons or testing advance/reverse mechanisms.
This tool is intended for ribbons that are installed on a spool, which has a cross pin. The slot on the tool engages the pin. The NCR model 1500 and 1900 are two such machines which can use this type of tool.
I believe that it is more commonly used with typewriters and perhaps other types of business machines.
